I am involved in a project where a side building consisting of steel frames with glass as external facade is to be dimensioned. The image shows one of the frames used at the end. Due to the likelihood of changes and somewhat unusual shape, I see it as advantageous to use Grasshopper for the task. I wonder if anyone has any ideas on how this can be modeled in FEM design? The frames are an IPE cross-section with varying heights. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to model this in FEM design?
