Surface temperature load POINT input

Hi!

I wonder what this point input should be.
I cannot find this point definition in FEM-Design.

Hi!

The point input seems to be necessary if you want to specify a variable temperature load.

OK!

So point input is optional in GH?
Because i get an error. These are all the same surfaces as the “Slab” elements. In the slab component I do not get this error…

  1. Solution exception:Value: (0.039968038348871616, 0, -0.9992009587217893) is not parallell to LocalZ (0.06237828615518053, 0, -0.9980525784828885)

It seems something related to tolerance.

Can you check the tolerance in your model?
I am using 0.001 meters

Otherwise, can you share your surface with me so that I can debug?

I really cannot find where to change the tolerance…

There seems to be no issues selecting all surfaces directly in the software.

Hi @Poja !

I am still investigating the issue. In order to keep you working, use the following method.

It does the trick

PS:
When I was speaking about tolerance, I was refering to the Rhino.Tollerance which is sometimes to tight. I will try to fix the issue before the end of the year anyway.

The Untrim component generates very strange surfaces.

Also! Reducing the tolerance in Rhino results in malfunction of e.g. the Boundary Surface component.

Oh sorry for the wrong suggestion!
In your model, there is a ONE surface which create an error.
I’ll investigate the error today :ok_hand:

Meanwhile,
If you want to understand which surface you need to rebuild, you should inout the surface in surface load using SplitList and moving the slider from 0 to N.

At some point, you will see an error.
